Local Puerto Rican food is very good and inexpensive, and the local restaurants are more fun to visit than American hotels.
Bequia
First island to the South St. Vincent. Secluded coves for beach lovers, and favored yacht harbor. Lodging, food, drinks reasonable by Caribbean standards. Not easy getting to Bequia, but the trip is definitely worth it.
Mustique
Beautiful, secluded 1,400 acre island with pure white sand beaches. Most exclusive private island in the Caribbean. Robin Leach was turned away because he did not have a reservation.
Mayreau
Smallest island, only one and a half miles long, home to around 250 people. Beaches are great, good for day trip.

Tortola, Jost van Dyke and Virgin Gorda are undeveloped compared to USVirgin Islands. Very reserved, quiet and very much British.
Virgin Gorda is the second largest island
and very laid back and relaxed. All beaches
are public, and offer many activities for families.
Tortola offers a perfect vacation for divers
and snorkelers. Tortola is very quiet, and locals have little desire for mass tourism.
No night clubs or gambling, people come
to Tortola for the clear blue water along
with peace and privacy.
St. Barts
The French Caribbean

However you choose
to refer to this unique island, just remember it's the French West Indies, and has the flavor of France.
French is the official language of St Barts, and the island boasts world class French restaurants, fine villas small elegant hotels, well dressed tourists, and chic night clubs.
Just about every road on the island leads to one of 14 fine, white sand beaches. Many of St Barts beaches are tucked away in private coves. The beaches of St Barts are home to the beautiful and tan. The island has been the "in spot" for the rich and famous for a number of years.

last 100 years. Citizens of Puerto Rico are citizens of US, and can move to the mainland if they choose. Most of Puerto Rico is very Amercanized, however the countryside feels more like the other Caribbean islands.

The Grenadines along with Grenada. St. Vincent is very mountainous, volcanic, and has lots of cays and coral islets to explore.
