BVI consists of approximately 60 islands - of which only 15 are inhabited. Many of the inhabited islands are national parks. It's quite easy getting around BVI by ferry.
Tortola is the capital, and largest island in the BVI chain. Tortola is well known for its fine powder white sand beaches, lush mountain range, and harbor filled with expensive yachts.
Virgin Gorda is the spot frequented by movie stars and millionaires looking to get away from it all. It's reached by ferry or boat, and offers secluded coves flanked by large boulders. This is where you will find swanky luxury resorts including the Bitter End Yacht Club
One of the most famous attractions on Virgin Gorda is The Baths located to the south. Huge boulders form lovely sea pools and grottoes. One of the best beaches on the island is  Devil's Bay, and is located at The Baths, and Spring Bay beach is nearby.

The Virgin Gorda Yacht Harbour provides a major port for ferries/yachts, and smaller ships lay anchor just off Spanish Town.
Jost Van Dyke has few inhabitants, a rugged mountainous terrain, and is known as a haven for sailors, divers, and snorkelers. Some of the best snorkeling can be found at Sandy and Green Cays. White Bay is the islands only beach which can be described as the perfect Caribbean postcard beach.
Anegada is accessible by small plane, and has the distinction of being the only coral island. The island offers secluded beaches completely surrounded by a large reef (Horseshoe Reef).

Here you'll find seemingly endless white sand beaches, and salt ponds which are home to pink flamingos. Anegada boasts approximately 300 sunken wrecks in its waters.
Interesting Fact -
While the British Virgin Islands are a self-governed British overseas territory, the U.S. dollar is the legal currency
